Situated just below the stunning Dover Castle, 5 minutes walk from the town centre and ferry port, we are your ideal stay, whether you're on your way to the continent, staying for a longer break or dare we suggest, swimming the channel!!!
The new addition of the Bistro & Georgian Terrace this year adds another dimension to the Hubert House experience, using only the freshest, seasonal and locally sourced produce we are open to residents and non-residents alike for breakfast, lunch and dinner. With a small but well sourced wine list and the best in friendly service. We also welcome private bookings and functions. More information regarding menu's can be found online via the website.
We charge a "room rate only" so you can decide what (if anything) you'd like for breakfast. Just pay for what you have! Optional buffet breakfasts for guests start at just £5.49, additional items are supplementary including: smoked salmon, porridge, charcuterie & the classic Full English.
All our rooms are hand finished and beautifully decorated and have the most comfortable of beds, but we also have plenty of extras available that make your stay even more enjoyable:

Hubert House - as favoured by Channel Swimmers!
Hubert House has long been associated with Channel Swimmers, several of whom even mentioned their stays here in their books! E.G. Des Renford (sadly no longer with us) the remarkable Australian who swam the channel 19 times, in his book "Nothing Great Is Easy" & Tom Hetzel, the wonderful American (who swam it 8 times) in his book "Conquest of the English Channel".
Veljko Rogosic, the only Croatian so far to swim the channel & one of the all time great marathon swimmers, has stayed with us twice.
We very much hope to continue this involvement, especially as our co-owner Peter Hanson is a qualified swimming teacher who has been out in pilot boats to support Channel Swims. We now have a "Wall of Fame" to honour those who have swum the channel and celebrate their achievements.
